Thursday 22 May 2025 (Week 4)
A note from Mr Pardini
Dear Families,
Kearnan College visit - Tomorrow, we look forward to welcoming staff from Kearnan College who will talk with our Year 5/6 students by way of an introduction. As we have done in the past, we encourage any parents (of Year 5/6 students) to attend so you may hear all about what Kearnan College has to offer for your child in the future. You may also like the opportunity to ask some questions. Please join us for this session, which will be held in our library at 9.00am.
Socks socks socks - Our latest order of school socks has arrived, so please make sure you order enough for your children to wear to school each day. The school sock is a requirement this year and now that we have enough pairs for purchase, we will be providing families with notices should you child not be in the correct uniform. Please refer to our uniform policy included in this newsletter.
Cross Country -I look forward to seeing families tomorrow at the River Park for our annual St Brigid's cross country. The Interschool cross country will take place on Friday 6 June at East Manjimup Primary School. Once the results are in for our cross country, Mrs Beesley will select the participating team. Here are the times for each race:
- 11.30am (Pre-Primary and Year 1)
- 12.00pm (Year 2)
- 1.15pm (Year 3 & 4)
- 1.35pm (Year 5 & 6)
SZapp Homepage - We have updated the homepage on SZapp to include easy access to information including:
- Uniform Policy
- Good Standing Policy
- Parent Handbook
- Homework Club Permission Form
Please refer to the screenshot image included below.
Year 6 Kearnan Orientation Day - As has occurred in the past, all Year 6 children will attend the first Transition Day at Kearnan College this term on Wednesday 11 June. The class will travel to Manjimup via the bus services. Parents, more information will come regarding how you sign up for this. Even if your child is not attending Kearnan College in 2026, this day is a nice way to try some high school options such as woodwork and cooking.
Evacuation Drill - We had originally timetabled this drill today, but we needed to postpone it until next week. Please be advised, if your child comes home on Tuesday next week saying there was an emergency at school, it was simply a drill. Each term we carry out drills to familiarise children (and adults) with the systems in place when there is a crisis.
