A note from Mr Pardini

First Reconciliation

Congratulations to Albie, Caelan, Oliver, Stella and Levi who yesterday celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Supported by their class mates, these students attended a Liturgy and then made their first ever reconcilation with Father Roshan. Following Reconciliation, the children all shared a delicious cake to celebrate! Congratulations.

Parent Teacher Interviews - early close

A reminder to all families, Wednesday 5 April will be an early close. We ask for your support making arrangements to collect your child at 12.00pm on this day to assist with Parent interviews. Thank you.

Road Safety

May I draw your attention to the section below on bike safety! We have been contacted by the Police to ask if we could spread the word about our local 'lollipop' crosswalk on Steere Street. It has become apparent, some students from St Brigid's are choosing to cross outside of this designated area. Please remind your children, they must use this safe zone when crossing Steere Street.

Also, it has been reported that some students are not wearing a helmet when riding scooters. It is a safety recommendation to protect your head when riding, so please discuss this with your child. I often witness the speeds scooters can reach when riding down-hill, so it is in your child's best interest to wear a helmet. Thank you.

Three Year Old Pre-Kindy Information Session

An information session will be held during Week 10 on Tuesday 4 April 9.30am in the Kindy room. This session is for parents of children commencing our Three Year Old Pre-Kindy program next term. Supervision will be available for the children to play outside during the meeting.

Enjoy the weekend ahead everyone!
Carlo Pardini

Harmony Day

Thank you to our staff who put in the time to create such a wonderful visual display for Harmony Day on Tuesday. Students and staff celebrated the day through a variety of activities showcasing cultural diversity.

Autism Awareness - Week 9

During Autism Awareness Week, St B's will be building awareness of neurodiversity - please see the information below for the fantastic activities taking place throughout the week. A merchandise stall will be held on Friday 31 March during recess and lunchtime, to raise money for the autism awareness organisation Paint Me A Rainbow.

Safety - Bicycles, Scooters, Skateboards

We encourage all parents to promote safety to their children including wearing helmets when riding bikes, scooters and skateboards. For the safety of everyone, we also ask that you remind your child to slow down on the footpath as they approach the school entrance. Please refer to this family information sheet for tips to make your child's experience safer.

We enjoyed an awesome first movie night last week! A huge thank you to Michelle Wright for coordinating this event, together with her band of helpers. The evening was 'fresh' but this didn't dampen the mood. We would like to extend a special note of thanks to Mr Tony Pratico who donated 50 choc bombs -they were delicious! Thank you for the support of this evening, with over 84 tickets sold!
