First Holy Communion

Last Sunday 11 June two of our Year 4 students, Millie Puljiz and Reegan Harris celebrated the sacrament of First Holy Communion. Thank you to Mrs O'Neill for helping to prepare Millie and Reegan for this special sacrament, and to their prayer buddies for supporting them as the received their First Communion.

Interschool Cross Country

A message from Mrs Beesley ...

St B’s attended the annual Interschool Cross Country Event at East Manjimup Primary School last Friday 9 June. Here we compete against 12 other schools from around the district. As usual the day was a great experience with lots of wonderful results. I would like to congratulate all our super competitors on their run and how they represented themselves and our school. This Cross Country track is very tricky with lots of turns, mud, moss and uneven terrain, the distances for each year group are as follows:

Y3 & Y4 – 1.75km

Y5 & Y6 – 2.1km

It is always a big day filled with lots of energy and emotion, but I was very happy with how we finished up! The results were: *students highlighted in pink will be invited to compete at the state cross country event in August in Perth.

Lightning Carnival Y3-6 Friday 23 June

You may have already heard your child talking about this upcoming event; next Friday 23 June will see our students in Year 3 to 6 attending the annual Lightning Carnival in Boyup Brook. This winter sports carnival includes Netta & Netball, Soccer and AFL footy. Students have nominated their preference of which sport they would like to participate in. We will be competing against several schools from the SW area. Bus transport has been arranged to transport the students and staff to and from Boyup Brook. Parent attendance is welcomed and we look forward to seeing as many coming along as possible. It is always a really fantastic day!

SEQTA Engage

In week 10 school reports will be distributed to families via SEQTA Engage. We will no longer be providing printed copies of student school reports. SEQTA Engage is a digital platform, which, by now you should have received an email providing you with a link / QR code to download the app.  If you are having any trouble with this, please contact the front reception.
