A note from Mrs Muir

Dear St Brigid's Families

It has truly been a wonderful wellness week! Monday started with Saint Brigid Feast Day Celebrations, which I'm sure everyone would agree was a fantastic day and such a great opportunity for our students to share in activities within their Faction groups. A huge thank you to Mrs Barber who put in a great deal of effort to organise our Feast Day Celebrations and to all the staff for supporting and contributing to the day.

The rest of our Wellness Week has seen a variety of activities and today we have absolutely LOVED all the crazy hairstyles! Our staff have joined in on some of the fun too, today we themed our attire as "twinning" some great wardrobe coordination going on!

Fathers Day Breakfast

Thanks to all the staff for arriving bright and early last Friday to cook up a Father’s Day breakfast! This annual event is always popular and well received. We enjoy hosting this breakfast to acknowledge our fabulous fathers and provide the opportunity for dads and kids to spend this special time together.

Thanks to our P&F for organising a raffle and a big thank you to the Watts Family for donating the meat for first prize, and to our  local businesses that contributed to the second prize hamper. Congratulations to our raffle winners:

First Prize: Justin Noppers

Second Prize: Ron Wulff

Creative Crew

This Saturday 8 students from St Brigid's will attend the Creative Edge Challenge at St Mary's School in Bunbury. This year the students have chosen 'Science & Engineering' as their category, the theme provided is 'Reaching New Heights' and the requirement involves a 10 minute dramatisation that must incorporate the use of a device (invented by the students and made completely from recycled and reused materials). The device for this dramatisation is required to elevate a basketball 30cm into the air, the ball must be rolled into the device and a trigger will set it off! Many hours have been spent preparing for this and we wish Sam Reape, Tyler Jansen, Flynn Mills, Boston Moore, Matilda Moir, Sophee Wilson, Louis Hoar and Flynn Mark the best of luck. A special thanks to Timon Barker-Rose who was instrumental in creating the script for the dramatisation.

MJR Assembly

Tomorrow morning at 8.45am is our school assembly in the hall. This assembly we will be presenting our Making Jesus Real Award to one of our students and our Creative Crew will also be presenting their dramatisation. We look forward to welcoming parents to this assembly.

Following the assembly we will have our Year 5/6 Mass in the Church. We had previously had this scheduled for Wednesday 13 September, however this will now be tomorrow morning, with Father Roshan.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Mandie Muir

Fathers Day Breakfast

Pre-Kindy & Kindy 2024

We can now confirm the days for our Pre-Kindy and Kindy 2024 will be as follows:

Kindy: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (Term 1 to Term 4)

Pre-Kindy: Wednesday mornings (from Term 2 to Term 4)

We came to this decision with input from all current Pre-Kindy parents and we have also based these days to fit in with our local playgroup timetable to avoid a clash with this community program.
