A note from Mr Pardini

Dear Families,

Simultaneous Reading Day - A huge thank you to the amazing Mrs Lidds for reading this story to the whole school yesterday - you are a start Mrs Lidds! This annual event takes place around schools in Australia at the same time on the same day to celebrate the world of literature. Simultaneous Reading Day has been celebrated since 2000.  This year, the selected book was Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker. We also held a mini competition at school with the prize being a copy of the book. Congratulations to Fletcher Bosley on winning the book.

Cross Country - Please join us next Tuesday 28 May (Week 7) for our school Cross country. We will host this event at the River Park. All children will be transported by bus to the venue.

Year 6 Transition Day at Kearnan College - Our Year 6 class will be enjoying a day of Middle School activity at Kearnan College Manjimup on Wednesday 29 May. I know in the past, these days have been a great opportunity to make some new friends and try some of the subjects (Home Economics, Design and Tech to mention a few) as well as other subjects on offer at high school.

Pre-Primary Assembly - Thank you for your understanding to our postponed Pre-Primary assembly date. We look forward to celebrating with our PP class next Thursday 6 June at 8.45am.

First Holy Communion - A reminder, about First Holy Communion Mass on Sunday 9 June at 9.00am.  We invite all our families to join us in the church at this time, and stay for morning tea following Mass  in the hall. We would love you to join us and bring a plate of food to share.

Pupil Free Day - Next Friday 31 May will be a pupil free day while the staff attend professional development. Monday 3 June is the WA Day public holiday, so we look forward to welcoming students back to school on Tuesday 4 June.

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend.

    Parking and Kiss n Drop

Some families may not be aware the off-street parking near the Mitre 10 car park is to be kept clear, Mitre 10 require access to the building with the roller door for deliveries of goods to and from their store. During school drop off and pick up times please utilise the allocated parking bays along with the kiss n drop area as a means of keeping the efficient flow of vehicles for drop off & pick up. Please refrain from using the kiss n drop zone as a parking area.
