A note from Mr Pardini!

Dear Families,

I am sure everyone is already counting down the hours until we break for the spring holiday period!

A reminder to everyone that Term 4 resumes on Tuesday 8 October. The Term 4 Planner has been included in this newsletter and a printed copy will also be sent home to all families. You can also access the school events on the home page of SZapp by clicking on the 'School Calendar' tile and sync to your phone calendar.

Year 5 Camp - What an awesome experience Year 5 camp was!!! We were very lucky to have scored the most magic weather in Pemberton for the class. From aerial adventure zip lines to a peaceful tram ride through the forests, the class were treated to a great overnight camp. I am sure there were some very tired children over the weekend. A big thank you to Mrs Pettersen, Mrs Tuck and Mr Evans who were present for this camp to ensure it ran smoothly.

Wellness Week - this week we have enjoyed our Wellness Week. We hope all parents reaped the benefit of 'no homework' given out this week. During the week, we were able to carry out some simple tasks with the classes to foster the community of our school. Today it was great to see the factions working together to fill in a 'friendship' grid. Let's hope this week of 'wellness' has been a fitting springboard into the holidays!

P&F Quiz night - Get your tables for the next fundraising instalment by our P&F. At the end of the first week next term (Friday 11 October), the P&F are hosting a quiz night. For your tickets, please contact the front office. For more information, please see the flyer below.

Creative Opportunities - we currently have two fantastic creative opportunities that have been presented to us for our students to participate in.

  1. QUBE/Talison Eco-Art Design competition for a QUBE electric truck trailer.
  2. Manjimup Bridgetown Times amateur photography opportunity: the chance to have a photo published in the 2025 Southern Forests Community Directory.

Further details on both are included in this newsletter.

Term 4 - commences Tuesday 8 October (Monday 7 October is a Pupil Free Day)

Have a wonderful and safe school holidays.
