A note from Mr Pardini

Dear Families,

School Choir - Congratulations to the St Brigid's Choir, led by Mrs Rubie Watts for singing today to the residents of Geegeelup Retirement Village. You did an amazing job and made lots of people's day with your voices. The residents were so excited in anticipation of the school choir, they provided a delicious afternoon tea for all the students. The choir will also be singing at the Bridgetown Show on Saturday at 1pm on the main stage. Thank you Rubie for your time forming this choir!

Inter-school Athletics Carnival - Thank you one and all for a great Interschool carnival on Friday! I would like to thank Mrs Beesley once again, for the many hours of work placed into this event - thank you for coordinating and preparing our children for this day. A big 'shout out' also to the P&F who managed to host yet another cake stall keeping everyone fed with delicious treats during the day. I can now officially say; "That's a wrap for our carnival season"!

Art Exhibition at Bridgetown Show - If you are attending the Bridgetown Show this weekend, please call by the exhibition as our Art Teachers (Ms Weaver and Mrs Beesley) have set up a display to showcase St Brigid's amazing artwork. We hope you enjoy seeing a selection of work at this show.

Orientation Days - Over the past few weeks, our Year 6 class have been invited to their respective High School (for 2025) Orientation days. Kearnan still has one to go which is this Tuesday 26 November. If you have any queries about your child's transition to Middle School, please contact the High School. Even though we still have our Year 6s for the next two weeks, we wish them all the best for the start of the new year.

Year 6 Graduation - For our Year 6 families, next week will have a lot happening. Please ensure you are up to date with the happenings for your child next Wednesday 27 November:

  • Graduation Mass - 9.00am in the church
  • Graduation Dinner - 5.00pm at the Football Club for students, followed by 6.30pm drink/pick up for parents.

Annual Community Meeting (ACM) - A reminder, our annual meeting of both the P&F and School Advisory Council is on this coming Tuesday 26 November at 6.00pm in our school library. Nominations must be made to join committees via our school app SZapp - you can nominate yourself or someone else. All nominees will need to be present at the meeting. All parents are welcome to attend this meeting, and we conclude this meeting with light refreshments.

Carols on the Oval - It's on again! We welcome all families to attend our end of year Carols concert on Tuesday 3 December. The evening will commence at 6.00pm (please note the earlier time 6.00pm).

Have a wonderful weekend...only 2 more weeks to go until school concludes!
