Thursday 28 February 2025 (Week 4)
A note from Mr Pardini
Dear Families
Congratulations Mrs Barber - all families would have received a letter yesterday regarding our Year 6 teacher Mrs Louise Barber. I am sure this communication was 'bittersweet' as we celebrate Mrs Barber being the successful candidate for an Acting Principal position at St Joseph's Pemberton from 12 May. May I take this opportunity to say congratulations to Mrs Barber who I know will do a wonderful job as the Principal of this small regional school. In the meantime, we will be advertising for a teacher for our Year 6 class as soon as possible so they may have time to work alongside Mrs Barber and Mrs Beesley as part of a transition.
Ash Wednesday - Next week, we celebrate the beginning of Lent with Ash Wednesday. This year, we have Mass scheduled for 12.00pm for years 3-6 classes. Following this Mass, PP/1/2 students will share the ashes at a prayer service at 2.00pm in the Kindy classroom. Families are welcome to attend.
Swimming Carnival - The stage is set for our first sporting carnival of the year! We look forward to parents joining us for our Faction Swimming carnival on Friday 7 March. This carnival is for Years 3-6 children only. Our wonderful P&F will be coordinating the cake stall which is led by the Year 6 parents. Please support our P&F by purchasing some items on the day.
Have an awesome long weekend everyone!
